Politics: Shahrizat Steps Back

Everyone knows NFC scandal is the reason she decides to step back and resign from her ministry position. Thus the next question is that who will be the replacement? I don't see Shahrizat as a total "poor" minister because who can deny what she had done for the society especially for the women in Malaysia but it does not make her a perfect one. Her resignation will be enforced on 8 April but she will be remained as a leader for of Wanita UMNO.

Shahrizat's brief political journey:

In the 1995 General Election, she was one of the women candidates to be fielded in Kuala Lumpur. She retained her parliamentary constituency seat for Lembah Pantai in the 1999 and 2004 General Election, creating history by becoming the first Member of Parliament to serve the Lembah Pantai constituency for three consecutive terms. The next election cycle in 2008 saw Shahrizat relinquish her parliamentary seat, and was followed by her appointment as a senator in the Upper House in 2009. In March 2009, Shahrizat was elected as the Head of Wanita UMNO.

Hopefully the one who will replace her is far better than Shahrizat and free from any scandal.
