Hiding The Stuff You Purchased

I don't know whether I should laugh or be surprised after reading the article about the fact that spouses are hiding what they purchased.

But I found it is funny - they have to hide what they bought because they are big purchasers. It is funny because I suppose couples shouldn't do that. 

I quote a little bit from the original article ::

Some 80% of all married people hide some purchases from their mates, according to a 2010 survey by CESI Debt Solutions. (And men are actually somewhat more likely to routinely do so than women.)

Shopping is always associated with women but men also have this habit. Not only wives hid from their husbands but husbands did the same thing.

Are you hiding what you purchased from your spouses? I wonder if Malaysians did the same thing.
