Abuse of Public Money | People Just Totally Hate It

I used to hold in my hand pretty a lot of money which is totally not belong to me. It is not easy. And I believe those whose task is to keep and control money which is a lot more than I used to keep feel the same as I do.

If you can't control yourselves - the the commission of breach of trust or misappropriation of money will take place. The abuse of the money. Greater the money, greater the abuse.

Civil servants at the Department for Communities and Local Government spent thousands of pounds at some of the country’s top restaurants, bought theatre and exhibition tickets, and went on supermarket shopping sprees at the public’s expense.

The records of their spending over the two years before the election, which totals £856,000, have been obtained by The Daily Telegraph.

The disclosure follows this newspaper’s revelations last week that councils had spent about £100million on taxpayer-funded credit cards over the past three years.

I am not sure whether in Malaysia, we ever read this type of exposure. Of course it is wrong to make an "blind accusation" that there are abuse of public money in the country but then, there is a "possibility" right?

The money that the Government spent is the money paid by the people, the tax-payers, so in actual sense, it is people money - specifically the taxpayer money. Thus, people always want to see the money to be spent in the ways that will benefit the people.

The Government should always bear in mind that if the money was spent in inappropriate manner, people will talk during the General Election. The possibility of losing the power might be caused by the wrong modes of spending tax-payers' money.

Power to choose leaders is in people's hand as we already know and people are becoming wiser and they will want the leaders who will spent people's money in the wisest ways for the right purposes in order to return the greatest benefits to people.
