Verdict is out. As I believe in our judiciary, I believe the court deliver the right decision. At 9.20 am High Court judge Justice Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah decided to acquit and discharge Anwar from sodomy charge. This means the prosecution had failed to establish prima facie case against Anwar.
The most important thing is that the nation now had been relieved with this decision. Regardless which party you are supporting. The court had decided. The court must have consider all the evidence before deliver such verdict.
Unluckily the testimony by Saiful is uncorroborated and this is sexual crime, court reluctant to convict based on complainant's uncorroborated evidence. As the decision was in favor of Anwar, we believe a lot of compliment will be given to our judiciary. Unbelievable? Believe it.
But I believed the prosecution will appeal against High Court decision. Maybe. Maybe not.

ReplyDeletefaizal, a bit correction perhaps... i believe, this case was at defence's stage..so the right standard was the prosecution has failed to proved its case beyond reasonable doubt...gud luck on criminal paper dis wednesday.. :)
