Sports: David Gill: United Will Announce Ferguson's Successor

After Sir Alex Ferguson did the talking about his retirement, United chief executive has confirmed the Legend's retirement.

The Reds confirmed on Wednesday morning that the 71-year-old Scot will retire at the end of the current campaign after more than 26 years in charge.

And Gill exclusively told MUTV that it won't be long before Sir Alex's successor is revealed.

"I’m not going to get into speculation on that [an exact date]... but we will move relatively quickly. I’m not going to define how quickly that is though," explained Gill, who himself leaves the club at the end of June.

People are talking about Ferguson's successor. As for Red Devil fans, all fans are hoping for this successor to continue Sir Alex Ferguson's legacy. We hope we will know the successor as soon as possible after the end of this season. Handling Manchester United will be not easy for the coming new manager because people will compare him to Ferguson. Yes they will. Wait and see it.
