20 Barclays Premier League Home Kits 2013/2014 [Part I]

The curtain of Barclays Premier League 2013/2014 has arisen with The FA Community Shield match between last season reigning champion Manchester United and the FA Cup winner Wigan Athletic which ended with United's 2-0 glorious victory. It is United's 20th Community Shield (previously known as Charity Shield).

I must say it is a practice or a custom for football fans, when the new season is coming, we are looking for new jersey of our favorite/beloved clubs. Here take a glance of 20 Barclays Premier League Home Jerseys 2013/2014.

Arsenal Home Kit 2013/2014

White "Fly Emirates" on red color base, how Arsenal will fare this season? I think the the colors of the sleeve is very nice. White with red and obsidian stripes. I Googled "obsidian color" and as far as the obsidian color is concern, it is categorized as one variant of black color. Arsenal will play against Aston Villa for the first match of 2013/2014 Season at their very home ground - Emirates Stadium, wearing this new home kit I believe.

Aston Villa Home Kit 2013/2014

Aston Villa new home kit maintain claret and light blue theme with V-neck style. Aston Villa will be playing against Arsenal in Emirates for their first match, I wonder whether they will wear the home kit or claret-white away kit. It is a nice jersey and I think I should get one piece of Aston Villa home kit.

Cardiff City Home Kit 2013/2014

As Malaysian I proudly welcome Cardiff City Football Club to Barclay Premier League. Cardiff City is promoted to EPL after won the English League Championship title last season. To see white "Malaysia" word on red color base jersey, it warms my hearts. Malaysia!! Full red jersey with little white stripe it is a "new" force to be reckoned with this season. 51% share in this club is held by Tan Sri Dato' Seri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun and all Malaysians consider this is Malaysia-owned club. I wish all the best for Cardiff City

Chelsea Home Kit 2013/2014

If Chelsea home kit is not in blue color, what will possibly happen to the club? Nothing happen because even if the color of the jersey is black or white, it is still blue. Blue and white combination is just the tradition of Chelsea home kit, and nothing else matter. With the return of the Special One, Jose Mourinho, the club will pursue their ambition of beating United and becoming the champion. Glory Glory Man United!

Crystal Palace Home Kit 2013/2014

Another promoted club. Crystal Palace with red, blue and yellow color of their home kit. Frankly I like the colors combination but I don't really prefer the design of it. I believe they could do better design for their home kit. Being promoted to BPL may be the very first step for this club to become a better team and I hope they will have better jersey design in the future.

Everton Home Kit 2013/2014

The former manager of Everton is now managing Manchester United as he's going from Blue to Red, Usual blue with white collar and white stripe on the sleeves. The picture of the sponsor in the center of the kit is quite disturbing to me, personally. I just wish Chang has better looking logo for their company. With the departure of Moyes, will Everton do better under their new manager?

Fulham Home Kit 2013/2014

 

I must say I just love black and white with a little touch of red color. These are nice colors combination and I think Fulham home kit is one of the beautiful jersey this season. Some may not agree with me but its okay because I can't force you to have same interest with me. Maybe they should place the Adidas logo on the right of the jersey instead of the present placement.  

Hull City Home Kit 2013/2014

Hull City returns to Premier League. Each time I watched Hull City played (when they was in Premier League and played against Man Utd), it feels like watching Malaysia National Team play because both jersey are almost the same especially the yellow and black stripes.

Liverpool Home Kit 2013/2014

Liverpool "standard" look for their home kit with Standard Chartered remains as their main sponsor. But I must say it looks nice. Red, yellow and white as Liverpool will start their Premier League campaign 2013/2014 against Stoke City at the home ground, Anfield. You'll Never "Bite" Alone! 

Manchester City Home Kit 2013/2014

How should I say about this Noisy Neighbor home kit? Light Blue, white and black. Same old same old or I just being ignorant of what changes this Noisy Neighbor did to their new home kit. I can't wait the Derby of two Manchester to see whether David Moyes can do something to shut the mouth of this Noisy Neighbor.
