A leopard on the loose in northern Indian city of Meerut caused a panic towards the people of the city.
The big cat was found in a local timber shop before being cornered in a nearby hospital, local forest official Sushant Sharma told CNN on Tuesday

Does this event indicate how much these animals been threatened by the world development? The author does not know for sure. Or it maybe just another tragedy as the leopard injured 7 people during the effort to capture it was done by the authority.
But curiosity got the better of some in the crowd. Seven people were injured by the leopard, including a policeman who needed treatment for a gash on the shoulder.

The capture, however, was unsuccessful and the authority believes it could have gone back to the forest
