Remember those time when we were kids, there must be some douche-bags who have nothing to do but bullying those who are weaker than them. These days, the act of "bullying" is no longer physical. CYBERBULLYING is setting in; the latest method of bullying - with your devices connected to the Internet, one could bully others.

Cyberbullying is not new. But under current circumstances it is becoming worse and worse. With the increasing numbers of cyberbullying it is necessary for all Internet users know how to protect themselves. No one has right to bully others. Even the word "bully" sounds very "douchebaggery".

In the context of Malaysia, it is reported the increase in number of Cyberbullying. Victims should lodge report if someone commit the act of cyberbullying upon them. However there are victims who may choose not to lodge a report. Those unreported cases may cause more numbers of cyberbullying.

The following table shows the parental perspective (according to selected countries) whether the children in their household or community have experienced cyberbullying.

These numbers indicate how critical cyberbullying is. Parents must give more attention when their kids are online because bullying including cyberbullying has very negative impact on children's development especially towards their mental condition and emotion.

Technology has brought advancement in human lives but without proper control mechanism we have seen how how evil it can be. This is not a simple problem which can be solved over a night. Everybody must take role to help reducing the numbers of cyberbullying because there are always bad people out there ready to take advantages on any of us in this connected new World.
