Two Favorite Teams Played

Last night I watched both matches of EURO 2008 live on Astro Supersport. The last night's matches were the must watch matches because both my favorite teams - France and Netherlands were playing. France against Romania and Netherlands against Italy. Frankly said I'm expecting better football from France instead Netherlands but France played quite a boring football because the didn't score any goal. France really had few scoring opportunities but the players didn't end those opportunities with the sharp finishing. Anelka and Benzema had few chances to score but they fail to do so, and one of the best try came from Malouda. I couldn't deny that Romania played quite a nice football and they seem very defensive.

My another favorite team played the next match after France and Romania against World Cup's Champion - Italy and I really didn't predict that Netherlands could win over Italy with three goal. Big laugh and what a shame for Italy as World Cup's Champion. Nistelrooy's controversial goal caused Toni to be booked for protesting but referee said the goal count and nobody can't do nothing about it. Even Italy worked so hard to equalize, in 31st minute a great counter attack by Netherlands and Sneijder scored the second goal and the first half ended with 2-0. Again, what a shame for Italy. In second half, also with the counter attack, Gio van Bronckhorst scored the third goal for Netherlands and simply said, Netherlands really played a great football last night.

My hope is France to play better in the next game and Netherlands keeps their momentum.

One more thing, Van de Sar really made few great save.
