Nationality and Race

I am attracted with the statement made by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz but I want to emphasize here that I don't say that I agree or not agree with his view. Maybe that is his opinion with regard the nationality and race. So he can stand on his opinion as he wants.

To quote the said article published in The Star Online:

PETALING JAYA: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz has maintained that he is a Malaysian first and a Malay next.

“Does any bigot have a problem with that?” he said in an open letter to an online news portal to refute a Mingguan Malaysia column written by Awang Selamat titled “Alahai Nazri” on Sunday.

My personal opinion is that we could put the nationality and race just on the same level. I believe, personally, nationality and race should run side by side without having to rank them. It is not wrong to put both together. We are multiracial countries with One Nationality. So we are pround of being Malaysians and being of our races.

Outside world recognized us as Malaysians. Our unity is still there. No need to be racist just because we are proud of our races. We still respect each other and live in one beloved country - Malaysia. But everyone has his/her opinion. We just hope the best thing for our country.
