Eat Less Chicken 'Coz The Price Is More

Why you have to reduce the intake of chicken in your life? Right now there is one and one reason only for reducing the intake because the chicken prices shoot up. Meaning that chicken is becoming more expensive. Damn I really like chicken. It is reported today:

The price of chicken has gone up to as high as RM8.50 per kilo at some wet markets with consumers being hit by the rising prices of corn and soyabean worldwide.

The price for dressed chicken in March this year was around RM7 per kilo.

Leong Hup Holdings Bhd executive director Tan Sri Francis Lau Tuang Nguang said the increase in prices for corn and soyabean in chicken feed was the reason behind skyrocketing poultry prices.

Lau, whose company is the country’s biggest poultry producer, said production costs for chicken had jumped from RM3.80 per kilo last year to RM4.60 this year.

I have a friend does not eat chicken. Or I should say he hates chicken. When he orders food at stall, he must emphasize that he don't want chicken to be part of his menu. No chicken at all - I suppose that his rules. So as the chicken prices shoot up, he may not feel any impact from.

[does KFC will be affected by the increase?]

People who running the business of food stall or restaurant will be seriously affected. The result is they will increase the price of their menu and as the consequences, the consumers have to bear the burden of such price. So what some of us could do is eat less chicken, maybe you should go for other alternative which is cheaper.
