World: 11 May 1934 | Worse Dust Storm in USA

Today, we hear environmentalists fight against activities that destroy earth. Notwithstanding we're claiming ourselves as environmentalists or not, we have responsibilities towards our earth.

We are not able to do everything. Individual may not able to ask factories' owners shut down their factories because the smoke from factories pollutes the air.

You just do a little thing you could've done. Please throw the rubbish in the damn bin. Please turn off the light, the fan, the air-cond, the computers if you're not using them.

And uncontrol activities on earth will lead to disaster. History proves it. In May 1934 dust storm sweeps across easter states in USA. The events that led to the storm was as follow:

By the early 20th century, however, farmers had ploughed over much of the grass to create fields. The U.S. entry into World War I in 1917 caused a great need for wheat, and farms began to push their fields to the limit, ploughing more and more grassland with the newly invented tractor. This continued after the war, when the introduction of even more powerful gasoline tractors sped up the process. During the 1920s, wheat production increased by 300%, causing a glut in the market by 1931.
