I used to make an attempt to be a collector. I remember when I was kid I had some nice stamps collection. Then, I tried to collect the action figures. But "financial issue" is a big issue when it comes to collecting stuff.
But for these 10 collectors, they just being awesome with their huge collections.
1. Dimitris Pistiolas - Movie Cameras
He is a retired postman lives in Athens, Greece. With 937 cinema cameras he keeps in the basement of his home, the collection is the world record for the largest private collection of movie cameras. Dimitris Pistiolas has been collecting the cameras for more than 60 years.
2. Wang Guohua - Cigarettes Packs
Hail from China, Wang Guohua has been collecting cigarettes packs since year 2003. He gathers his collection in the room at Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province. Currently, his collections are more the 30,000 packs covering 100 productions from over 10 countries.
3. Lisa Courtney - Pokemon Toys
The girl is collecting Pokemon toys just for fun. But 2010 could be her best year when her collection becomes the Guinness World Record and she celebrated it at her 21st birthday in Japan. She was bullied when he was a schoolgirl and she came home when the Pokemon toys comfort her. And now the toys are not only comfort her but make her one of the record breakers.
4. Ron Hood - PEZ Wrapper and Merchandise
He is PEZ collector. The time I read about it I was wondering what the heck PEZ is? Here some info - PEZ was first marketed as a compressed peppermint candy over 83 years ago in Vienna, Austria. The name PEZ was derived from the German word for peppermint... PfeffErminZ. Today, over 3 billion PEZ Candies are consumed annually in the U.S.A. alone.With great tasting flavors and collectable dispensers, PEZ is more than just a candy... it's the pioneer of "interactive candy" that is both enjoyable to eat and fun to play with. Ron's collections are kept in the basement at Lewiston and currently he has the collection up to 3000.
5. Heinrich Kath - Beer Mugs
He is a farmer in Cuxhaven, Germany. But he is not a regular farmer. He is a farmer with a large collection of beer mugs despite the fact Kath himself does not drink beer. But Kath has been collecting those beer mugs since 1997. He has approximately 20,000 beer mugs in his collection.
