Happy Holiday for those who are working in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan because it is Federal Territory Day.
The Federal Territory Day (Hari Wilayah Persekutuan) was introduced on 1st February 1974, four days after the Federal Territory Agreement was signed on 28 January 1974 by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah of Kedah and the Sultan of Selangor, Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah. In 17 May 1984 Labuan became the second federal territory, and on 1st February 2001 Putrajaya became the third federal territory of Malaysia.
2013 Federal Territory Day's Theme is Perpaduan Teras Kesejahteraan, 1Wilayah Persekutuan (Unity the Core of Prosperity, 1Federal Territory). Despite the fact that the Federal Territory Day was introduced in 1974 but the theme and the celebration of it was already begun in 2007. And the theme in 2007 was Maju dan Sejahtera (Progress and Prosperity).
