Teves Missed, Messi Too

What an embarrassing game by Argentina when it was defeated by Ecuador 0-2. Carlos Teves missed the penalty in the first causing Argentina to lost the match. Messi also missed the best chance in the early game. Both of them are great players but they still fail to score the goal as Maradona fails to ensure the winning for his team.

Two Ecuador goals were scored by left-back Walter Ayovi, with his superb strike, and Pablo Palacios in the last 20 minutes. It was a good match performance by Ecuador's players to ensure the winning against Argentina. Roughly, it is pretty impossible for Ecuador to win over Argentina because Argentina has Messi who just won La Liga League. Spanish Cup and Champion League Title with Barcelona and Argentina also has Teves who won EPL, Carling Cup and FIFA World Club with Manchester United.

In previous occasion, Argentina was defeated 1-6 by Bolivia and it happened last April. However, a good part is Argentina remained in the top four of the 10-team South American group with 22 points from 14 games. Argentina still has a wide open path to the World Cup 2010 in Africa. Believe me, World Cup seems not so good if Argentina is not there.

But, Maradona must do something or he will be embarrassed again next time.
