Malaysia is approaching the nine gold medals' target when our two karate atheletes won their gold medals recpectively. Seventh gold medal is was contributed by Ku Jin Keat in the men's kata event while gold medal number eight was won by R. Puvaneswaran in men's kumite event.
Unfortunately if our men's regu of sepak takraw not lose to Thailand, we already have nine gold medal. Malaysian regu was defeated in firsr set 12 - 21. But then they played better in second set leading 11 - 5 before Thailand chased the point to win 21 - 19. If the game was dragged to the third set, maybe thing will be not the same.
