Even Lecturer Involved With Drugs

Previously I wrote about a teacher who uttered racist remarks towards the students. This time a lecturer was caught with drugs. We even had heard about the teachers did other bad things. However there are still a lot of good teachers out there.

The only thing is that this tiny number of "bad teachers" could damage a good reputation of this profession. We don't want, in the future, the profession as a teacher is only be considered as another ordinary job because of this tiny number of "bad teachers".

To my fellow friends out there who already hold the greatest responsibility in the world as teachers, do your best and be the best role models!

Foreign lecturer nabbed for drugs

SEREMBAN: A foreign lecturer of a private college in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur was nabbed by police in a drug bust nearby the Seremban toll plaza here at 5.30am on Saturday.

Negeri Sembilan deputy CID chief DSP Yahaya Othman said the 51-year-old woman was in an express bus heading south when the arrest was made.

"The bus was intercepted by a police team and on checking, she was found to be carrying cannabis weighing 12.5kg, which has a street value of RM50,000," he told reporters at the state police headquarters here on Sunday.

He said that the woman taught animation techniques and had come to Malaysia on Oct 10.

He added that police were widening their dragnet to find out who else were involved in the case. - BERNAMA
