Being a leader, the most crucial thing is to listen to the need of people. How good the medium is, it will be meaningless if the leaders don't listen. Human beings are given a pair of ears and one mouth for reason. Listen more and talk less.
The idea is to listen and take affirmative actions. Listen and ignore is still wrong approach in leadership. The things happen in country now somehow might bring great impacts in the future. With the price increasing of some goods, economic issues, social problem, stupid game of politics, the coming general election might be time for people to voice up.
People are worry with their lives because not everyone is rich enough or wise enough to deal with some pressing issues lately. The latest stuff I read is with regard the price of RON95 will remain the same but the question is for how long? Is it until the general election is over? Or it will be remain the same for the sake of people.
Besides that is the electricity tariff - the talk about the increase is on the air. The National Economic Council will be discussing about it. So lets wait and see whether the increase will occur or not. People just hate to listen when it comes to price increasing activities.
I believe Government will say that they have good reasons for doing so. If it does have good reasons, the Government must show those reasons to the people. Make it crystal clear, explain the reason in details, being transparent with full integrity.
Young people now want the leaders who put nations in the first place - in real means, not only the rhetoric here and there. I just finished Zahid Ibrahim's book and I could see his perspectives. He still got respect for UMNO leaders such as the late Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Razak, Ku Li and Musa Hitam.
We need more leaders like these people who hold the ambition of people especially for young generation for a better nation with political stability, better economic policies and better social environment.
