Blog: How To Sustain In Blogging

In the world today, many people are so interested to have their own blogs. And the purposes of having blogs could be varied from one person to another. Some common purposes are:

1. To share about individual life and experience.
2. To spread the ideas, opinions and views.
3. To give information regardless the information is vital or not.
4. To make money online through blogging.

When one had started his or her very own blog. The next question is how to sustain in blogging and constantly updating the blog? Some years ago I used to follow some blogs which did have good contents. And suddenly the blog had not been updated for so long and it kinda dead.

No Idea

To sustain means you must always have something to be written in your blogs. Thus it leads us to the issue of how and/or where to get the ideas.Ideas, basically, could come from anywhere. The only thing is whether you're care to look for it and blog about it.

If you read a lot then you will have something to write about. You got conventional newspapers, online newspapers, magazines, other informative websites, lots of blogs and some your favorite books maybe.

When you're reading newspaper whether it offline or online newspapers, you will be able to obtain some local and international issues. It could be something about politics, social or economics. It could be about some crimes committed by some persons. You may give your opinion about those issue via your blogs.

For people who do read books such as novel, you could share about the books you're read. For example, currently I am reading the classic of Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde and just watch the movie and I intend to write my view about it.

Poor Traffic

It it crystal clear that the idea of blogging is that other people would come to your blogs and read what you'd been writing. And it can be so demotivating when you get poor traffic to your blog. Wait! Stop and think for a while - if you're newbie that it should not be a factor to demotivate you. Obtaining good traffic is not an overnight task.

It required hard work and by hard work I mean you must write a good blog post in which the content could benefit other. Hard work includes your capability to ensure your blog is user-friendly and people won't annoy each time they land to your blog. Thus right color combination is important and avoid auto-music that has no stop/pause button.

I stop here because in my personal view these are two factors that will stop people from sustaining in blogging. Yeah there are a lot of other factors as well, but if you could manage to overcome this two things, then you will not stop from your blogging activities.
