Our parents are our first teachers. Then we were taught by teachers in schools and/or colleges, later on by lecturers, associates professors and professors at the universities. There were times when friends and/or siblings showed us how do to the right things and they'd become our teachers too.
Our experiences, other people experiences, things happen around us locally or globally; these are all capable of being "teacher". The word teacher cannot be defined prescriptively. Its definition is indefinite. Almost everything can be a "teacher".
