Sports: Tour 2012 Result | Ajax Cape Town 1-1 Manchester United

By looking at the line up, it was more about giving an opportunity to the youngsters to play and prove themselves so that in the future Sir Alex Ferguson will be having more choices of players.

United gained victory over AmaZulu F.C in the first match of 2012 Tour but Ajax Cape Town seemed to make the match harder for Red Devils.

Amos who will be on loan to Hull was given a responsibility as a goalkeeper and we must say he actually did a good work as he was conceded only once.

Ferdinand is the only senior in defence line played alongside the other three kids. Despite the senior mid fielders started the game, no goal was created causing Sir Alex to make a quadruple substitution on 68th minute.

Kagawa who also started the line up did play well with a few scoring chances. But Ajax made it first at 85 as substitute Alcardo Van Graan put Ajax in lead. That goal push United men harder and Bebe made sure it was not a losing moment in United's tour as he netted the equalizer just before the end of the game.

United line up against Ajax Cape Town: Amos; Vermijl, Wootton, Ferdinand, Blackett; Valencia (Tunnicliffe 68), Carrick, Scholes (Powell 68); Anderson (Lingard 68); Kagawa (Berbatov 77), Hernandez (Bebe 68)
